At CHS, there are fun, student-run events happening all the time!

First Day of School

On the first day of school, an Italian Ice truck welcomes CHS students to a new school year.

 Thompson Park Day

On the second day of school, the freshman class goes to Thompson Park for a day filled with bonding activities.

 Back to School Dance

Hosted by the senior class with student DJs, this is always a memorable event! The themes of this event range from 80s to luau.

Spirit Week

Twice a year, freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors compete in the ultimate school spirit battle.  

Homecoming

Hosted by Skills USA, this is a fun dance for CHS students hosted every fall. One of our favorite traditions is singing Mr. Brightside!

Coffeehouse

This is an exciting night where you can hear classmates sing, play instruments, and perform. It is so exciting to hear the talent at CHS! 

Winter Ball

Hosted by junior class, this formal dance is always a blast. This is the most formal dance besides prom.

Fashion Show

Students can show off their style on a runway with outfits from stores throughout Monmouth County.

CCC Fest

Hosted by the CCC, this event celebrates other cultures in a night filled with music, food, and fun while raising money for charity.

Career Day

Students can meet CHS grads and explore potential careers during this event hosted by Skills USA.

Inductions

Students are inducted into chapters of three honor societies offered at CHS: National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, and National Technical Honor Society.

Plays

The Drama Club performs student-run plays each year, with singing, acting, sets, and complex lighting.

Art Show

CHS turns into a gallery where the community can see student art, design, and film.

Color Wars

A field day of fun! The whole school separates into color teams and competes in indoor and outdoor games, activities, and challenges.
